CORVALLIS – Representative Dan Rayfield (D-Corvallis) will host his first Community Coffee event of 2019 on Saturday, January 12th. The event will give community members a chance to share their thoughts and hear about Rayfield’s legislative agenda for the upcoming legislative session.
“We have found these events to be extremely valuable allowing members of the community to share their thoughts and ideas with us,” Rayfield said. “I am looking forward to hosting the community coffees again this year.”
Since taking office in 2015, Rayfield has held monthly community coffee events during each legislative session. The coffees began as a way for the community to get to know Rayfield and to connect about important issues, and remain as a beneficial way for the community to stay up to date on what’s happening in the legislature.
“A large part of our ability to be good representatives relies on feedback from community members,” Rayfield said. “By making the time to engage in person with one another, we’re able to have a better grasp on what issues are most important in our community.”
